Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to examine the effect of generational differences on organizational silence attitude. The universe of the research consists of four and five star hotel businesses in Taksim and its surrounding regions of Istanbul. Except for the employees (employers) who are at the top of the hierarchical structure in the mentioned hotel businesses, all employees at the lower, middle and upper levels constitute the sample of the research. Face-to-face surveys, pick-and-drop surveys and online surveys (Google Forms) were implemented. As a result of the questionnaire application, 402 questionnaires were reached. The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, cronbach's alpha, one-way Anova test. Two-factor analysis of variance was performed for independent samples. As a result of the research, it has been understood that there is a significant difference between the scores of the employees regarding the dimensions of individual silence, silence to protect the organization and silence to protect their colleague, according to the generations they belong to.
