Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to analyze and determine the humidity, ash and heavy metal contents of botanical tea samples, which have relaxing effects and sold in bazaars and herbalists in Kütahya, and evaluate the results according to TGK specifications. A total of 15 relaxing effected tea samples were collected from the herbalists and markets have been analysed in this study. As a result of this study, it is clear that the humidity and the ash contents of the tea samples have been found in the specification limits of TGK. It is found that the herbal tea samples, that were collected from the Kutahya region, contain different amounts of heavy metals. Consequently, it is thought that to get herbal teas from herbalists and random places could be harmful and not recommended. Keywords: Herbalists, Plants, Kütahya, Sedative Tea, Stress
