The evaluation and analysis of game and sport programs applied in pre-school education institutions in Kütahya

THE EVALUATION AND ANALYSIS OF GAME AND SPORT PROGRAMSAPPLIED IN PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN KÜTAHYAGüvenç GüvenABSTRACTCalisthenics education, indirectly sport and game programs, is very importantfor both early childhood development and society in pre-school education. The aim ofthis study is to analysis the games and sport programs which are applied in pre-schooleducation institutions in Kütahya and to determine the existing problems. The total fieldunder survey is the teachers who work in 38 nursery school classes dependent on theprimary schools in Kütahya in 2006 and 3 private nursery schools. The sampling of thisstudy consists of 41 pre-school teachers. In this study the views of the teachers aredetermined with survey method. Chi-Square test and Cross-Tabulation are used asstatistical test method.In this master thesis, we tried to come to a conclusion for the existing problemsand their Solutions, it was determined that present games and sport programs cannot beapplied with scientific principles because of content, application, material and physicalenvironment insufficiency and when these come together with the program's owninsufficiency it was determined that the educational period related to the sport cannot beachieved successful.In addition to the elements above the deficiency of the pre-school teachers in thefield of game and sport applications and the pre-school teacher' lack of coordinationwith the other teachers and the experts of the subjects are getting worse the problems.In the last section of the study some concrete proposals about the problems arepresented as a solution.The investigation and application was realized in the pre-school educationinstitutions in Kütahya.
