Abstract (EN)
In the study, plant development, phenological and pomological characteristics of Kütdiken and Aydın lemon varieties were investigated in the 2022-2023 production season in Mersin ecological conditions. The trial was established in 2002 according to the "Randomized Plots Trial Design". In the study, the yield amounts per tree, per unit canopy volume and per trunk cross section area of Kütdiken and Aydın lemon varieties were determined. In addition, fruit size, length, diameter and rind thickness were examined from fruit quality parameters. In addition to pomological characteristics, some important subjective characteristics (external appearance, fruit shape, rind structure, rind and flesh color, flesh texture) were also evaluated in the study. According to the results, the yield of Kütdiken lemon (124.8 kg/tree) was found higher than the Aydın variety (88.0 kg/tree). Larger and thicker-skinned fruits were obtained from Kütdiken variety (132.25 g, 5.25 mm) compared to Aydın variety (121.09 g, 4.19 mm). Fruit juice amount of Aydın variety (37.98%) was found to be higher. In terms of acidity, both varieties gave similar values. In terms of tree canopy volume, Aydın variety (6.54 m3) had a larger volume than Kütdiken variety (5.08 m3).
