Abstract (EN)
In this study, modifications of present adhesion properties of polymer dielectrics (PI- polyimide, PET- polyethylenereftalat, PS- polystyrene, PE- polyethylene) -which have different physico-chemical properties and being widely used in the solution of contemporary electronics and industrial electronics problems- have been investigated. Changing of electro-physical properties with regard to usage purpose is achieved as a result of different gas discharge (partial or corona) effects which took place in different gas mediums (air, air+COi) on investigated materials. The changes on the surface properties of materials for small values (ttreat<1000 s) of discharge duration can be explained in terms of space volume charges formed on the material. The changes on the surface properties of materials have been determined by examining potential charge kinetics of surface and surface wetness angle. Moreover, injected charges through discharge channels into materials with a modified surface as a result of gas discharge effect have been studied and theoretical and practical findings found to be compatible. In this thesis, differential equation of unipolar corona has been determined by taking diffusion of ions into account and its solution is given, then distribution of space volume charges during corona discharge and canopy covering of corona have been investigated. As a result of gas discharges taking place in different gas mediums (air, air+COi); it is concluded that the changes in the adhesion properties of investigated materials are more effective in AC partial discharge than corona discharge. KEY WORDS: polymer dielectric, adhesion, gas discharge, surface potential, corona discharge, unipolar corona, volume change, discharge effect duration.
