Political developments in Dagistan from the Republic of Northern Caucasia to the Soviet Socialist Republic of Dagistan (1918-1921)

The study is on the Republic of North Caucasus and Dagestan SSC, which was established right after its collapse. It was the first time that Dagestan became a country with its national borders, with the establishment of Dagestan SSC in 1921. Understanding the establishment of Dagestan SSC can be possible by first analyzing the stages of the North Caucasus RepublicThe establishment of the Republic of North Caucasus has not been studied specifically for Dagestan and Dagestan people. In the study, the situation of Dagestani people in the Republic of North Caucasus has been clarified because they are larger in terms of population and geography. The Republic of North Caucasus predominantly dominated Dagestan geography. In the study, it was also evaluated that the Ottoman Empire officially recognized the Republic of North Caucasus and sent its armies to Dagestan for support. Independence wars of the North Caucasus Republic and the establishment declaration stages of this republic were evaluated. The founders of Dagestan SSC augmented the cadres within the North Caucasus Highlands Union. The Committee of Union and Progress management in the establishment of the Republic of North Caucasus and the administration of Mustafa Kemal in the period of Mustafa Kemal had direct effects on the establishment of Dagestan SSC. In the study, for the purpose of objectivity, the works of people in different factions in the struggle between 1917-1921 were used. Russian, English and Turkish sources describing the period and subject mentioned were used in the study. The institutions of both governments were explained together due to the historical ties of the Republic of North Caucasus and Dagestan SSC. strong influence on both state institutions in Turkey have also tried to clarify.
