Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted on Damascus goats at Guzelyurt Enterprises in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Average fertility and prolifîcity rates of experimental material were found as 111.1 %; 135.1 %, respectively in this study. Different age groups were significantly (P<0.05) effected the prolificacy according to the Z test. Number of living kids were 102.2 % in mated does; 124.3 % in kidded does at weaning. Infertility rate was 15.5 % for all herd. The minimum infertility rate was 7.6 % for 6 years and older groups; the maximum infertility rate was 28.5 % for 2 years old does. Average kidding rate for kidded does to mated does was 97.3 %. The maximum plurality rate was 57.2 % for 5 years old groups and minimum was 20 % for 2 years old groups. The general plurality rate was 32.4 % in all herd. Survival rate of kids were 100 % at birth for different age groups, but this rate decreased 92 % at weaning. The lactation length was not affected by age significantly (PX).05); but lactation yield (282.21 kg) was affected by age. In addition to this daily milk yields (1.06 kg) were significantly affected by age (P<0.05). The birth weight was effected by does ages and birth type significantly (PO.05). Weaning weights of kids were affected significantly by sex (P<0.01), birth type (PO.05) and age (PO.01 ). Key Words: Damascus, Reproduction, Milk Production, Live Weights II
