Abstract (EN)

Heat transfer is very important for the proper design and reliable operation of systems. The reliability and performance of system are highly depend on the system operating temperature. Fin arrays are utilized to remove the generated heat from a system by convection or when the system is being cooled. Primary purpose of using extended surfaces is to increase heat transfer by way of increasing available heat transfer area. In this study, heat transfer in closed channels with paralel extended surfaces mounted on the bottom has been examined experimentally and numerically under laminar mixed convection regime. Experiments have been conducted under constant heat flux condition and air has been used as a working fluid. In the experiments, Reynolds number were varied in the range 250
