The sea bass larvae, which initially mean weighed as 22.16±1.21 mg, were used in the larval phase of this research. The weight gains of the three experimental groups which were respectively fed the micro diet with Tubifex, Artemia and enriched Anemia were higher than that of die control group fed only standard micro diet and micro diet including 2% betain (p<0.05) whereas there were similar weight gain among these three groups (p>0.05). Even though one of the experimental groups fed the micro diet including 2% L-glutamic acid as an attractant showed similarly improved growth with other experimental groups fed the micro diet with Tubifex, Anemia and enriched Anemia (p>0.05). However; regarding their weight gains, there was a significant difference between the group fed the diet with L-glutamic acid and the groups fed the micro diet and also micro diet including betaine (p<0.05). The diets of sea bass juveniles (initial mean weight 2.88±0.09 g) were supplemented with 2% L-glutamic acid and 2% betaine. At the end of the second phase, the group ingesting the diet including 2% L-glutamic acid showed significantly (p<0.05) improved growth compared with the other groups, which were fed the standard mixed diet or standard mixed diet with 2% betaine. The weight gain of the group ingesting the diet with 2% betaine tended to be higher than that of the control group fed the standard mixed diet, that is; there was a significant difference between these groups (p<0.05). On the other hand, this group fed the diet with 2% betaine demonstrated a less weight gain than the group ingesting the diet including 2% L-glutamic acid.
