Abstract (EN)
This reasearch was carried out to determine the effect of the organizational happiness levels of teachers on their mental well-being in public high schools. The universe of the research consists of teachers working in public high schools in Alanya district of Antalya province in 2021-2022 academic year. The sample of the study consists of 346 teachers selected by simple random sampling method. Relational screening model was used in the research. Organizational happiness and mental well-being scale were applied to collect the data. Arithmetic mean, standard deviation, frequency, unrelated samples t-test, Kruskal-Wallis test, correlation and multiple regression tests were used to analyze the obtained data. When the organizational happiness levels of the teachers working in public high schools were evaluated in terms of positive affect, negative affect and achievement, it was determined that the level of achievement was high, and the level of positive affect was moderate, and the level of negative affect was weak. According to the results, it can be stated that teachers working in public high schools are happy in the educational organizations they work for. Considering the well-being levels of the teachers, it is seen that they have a high level of mental well-being. There was no significant difference in the sub-dimensions of organizational happiness and well-being of teachers working in public high schools according to their gender, working time and educational status. When the relationship between the sub-dimensions of organizational happiness and between the sub-dimensions of organizational happiness and mental well-being is examined, it was determined that there was a moderate negative significant relationship between positive affect and negative affect; that there was a moderate positive significant relationship between positive affect and achievement and that there was a moderate positive significant relationship between positive affect and mental well-being. It was identified that there was a moderate negative significant relationship between negative affect and achievement and that there was a moderate negative significant relationship between negative affect and mental well-being. It was found that there was a moderate positive significant relationship between achievement and mental well-being. According to the results, it can be stated that when teachers' organizational happiness levels are high, their mental well-being will also increase. According to the data of multiple regression analysis conducted in the context of the relationship between organizational happiness and mental well-being, it was found that positive affect, negative affect and achievement dimensions of organizational happiness significantly predict mental well-being as a whole.
