The effect of Logotherapy oriented treatment program on stuttering which is one of the speech disorders a case study

In this study it is aimed to examine the effect of Logotherapy oriented treatment program on stuttering which is one of the speech disorders. Besides it is investigated that Logotherapy oriented treatment program is effective or not on the dereflection of the stutterer, on the reduction of the psychological symptoms which are seen on stutterers, on the removal of the behaviors which go along with the speech of stutterers and on the reduction of the score of faltering.The study was carried out on three stages within the context of case study. These stages were; identification, psychological counseling and evaluation. In the first stage the thought, emotion, belief, experience, behavior and problem of the stutterer who has accepted to receive help voluntarily was analyzed in great detail. In the second stage it was carried out psychological counseling application to test the effect of Logotherapy oriented treatment program on stuttering which is one of the speech disorders. Every session was planed as one hour and all sessions include the aim of the current session, the summary of the last session, the application trough the aim of the session, behavioral observations and the summary of the current session. In the third stage it had been done evaluation study to provide permanence of the program which was practiced to effect of Logotherapy on the treatment of stuttering which is one of the speech disorders.In this connection the characteristics of the individual and also the effect of Logotherapy oriented treatment program had been investigated in great detail. In the study the behavioral observations, form of observation and receiving story, the form of determining motor behaviors which goes along with the speech of stutterers, the form of determining thought, emotion and behavior, the form of determining thought indented to stuttering had been used to collect the data. This study has been expressed without any statistical analysis because it is evaluated in the context of qualitative researches.The findings as a result of this study can be express like these;1.Logotherapy oriented psychotherapy program is effective on treatment of stuttering.2.Logotherapy oriented treatment program is effective on dereflection of stutterers.3.Logotherapy oriented treatment program is operative on the reduction of the psychological symptoms which is seen on stutterers.4.Logotherapy oriented treatment program is effective on the removal of the behaviors which go along with the speech of stutterers.5.Logotherapy oriented treatment program is effective on the reduction of the score of faltering.
