Abstract (EN)
This research was planned analytically and crosssectionally for the purpose of determining the behaviours of women for prenatal care during pregnancy and measuring their self care agency.The research was carried out in the obstetric service of Turgutlu Goverment Hospital between 1st of January and 31st of March 2007. The scope of this research was compesed of 2009 women who gave birth to alive babies and whom were in the first two days after delivery days of recovery. The number of samples was calculated as 300 by using the sampling method the scope of which is apparent. The samples were composed of 300 women recovering childbirth who accepted to be involved in the research.The data were collected through ?Individual Identification Form? that was developed by the owner of the research, ?Positive Practice Inventory in Pregnancy? and ?Self-Care Agency Level? by using face to face interview technique.SPSS Programme was used for the analysis of data. Numerical valvues, student t test, one way ANOVA, variant analysis, Lineer Regression analysis multipl regression tests and pearson correlation analysis were used for the statistical evaluation.Mean value of total ?Positive Practice Inventory in Pregnancy? of the samples was calculated as 15.71±3.71 and the mean value of total self care agency was calculated as 100.34±17.15.Pregnant women should be educated about prenatal care and self-care agency related seminers should also be given to the health workers.
