Abstract (EN)
Urban logistics services affect cities both physically and socially as well as economic activity areas. Urban logistics which are subject to academic studies as a new concept in Turkey, the mobility of goods and services in urban areas and offer solutions to problems based on it. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate urban logistics mobility in terms of urban planning, to discuss the changes that will occur with logistics mobility and to contribute to the solution of possible problems. In this study, spatial effects of the concept of urban logistics are emphasized in the case of İzmir Kemalpaşa Logistics Village and the importance of this concept in urban planning is examined. In the thesis, quantitative and qualitative methods are used together. Changes in the decision made by Izmir Kemalpasa Logistics Village, logistic criteria, surveys with companies, in-depth interviews with institutions and the evaluation process was evaluated within the framework of the findings. As a result, Izmir Kemalpasa Logistics Village offers an opportunity for economic, social and environmental development of the region in terms of the integration and specialization of different modes of transport. However, it has been determined that there is a problem for spatial development in the implementation process which starts without being transferred to plan decisions.
