Abstract (EN)

Lebanon, which was under the rule of Ottoman Empire till First World War, had entered under the hegemony of France after 1920. The country has gained its independence only after the Second World War and this independence process has not been wholly finalized and Lebanon maintain its existence far into today along with endless infighting as a result of foreign powers? interference. However, containing many religious, cultural and denominational variety, political life in Lebanon based on denominational differences rather than ideologies and fight for power that take place in this context between families, yet increases the instability.Lebanon is an important part and a typical kind of the problems of Middle East. In the basis of the Lebanon problem which was especially arised in the early 1970's, there is Lebanon's political and social structure's complexity. There are a lot of ethnic and secterial groups in the country like Maronites, Sunnis and Shiites. Palestinians were added this mosaic after 1970 Jordan civil war.Lebanon's existing polity was developed when it was a colony of France called as confessionalism, is giving the Maronites a big authority over the demographic rates and this rate has changed against the Maronites in the present but the polity hasn't changed yet. This factor got the civil war. The clash embarked between the armed forces which was controlled by Maronites and Palestinian guerillas and after all Lebanon falled under the war. The clash which began in this term is the beginning of the ethic-religious conflict and the split of the territory.In the basis of the civil war in addition to the secterial conflict there is expansionist countries' interferences to the problem in accordance with their benefits. Because of the Lebanon's strategic position and other various features some big countries wants to be effective in the region. They agitate a group against other group to their advantages. This countries conserves the existing polity because of its advantages for them and they carry on the conflict process.This thesis analysed the expansionist countries' policy of conservation the blight installation and direction policy of Lebanon. Turkish nation's struggle with expansionism and Atatürk's revolution's success betrayed with the Lebanon sample. In Suggestion part recipe offers were laid to Lebanon's complex structure and its government problems in light of Atatürk's state model. İn the conclusion part it is analysed comperatively that Turkey's and Lebanon's installation process and their state and polity and at the end Atatürk's Turkey's success brought out
