According to the Maarif Salname education in Aydin province at the beginning of the 20th century

While evaluating theissue, schools, education programmes, living conditions of students, teachers, workers,the community to which they belong, their genders, and also their proportion topopulation of this term were dealed. Moreover, some information about newspapers,libraries and printing, which were closely related to education, was given.Maârif Salnameleri were used as the main point and source in the study. Somegeneral knowledge about the fact that Aydın Province had an important position ineducation between these years was reached. As well as this fact, some other data aboutthe waves of Ottoman State policy and reflection of innovations on Ottoman societywas recaived. At the same time, this study includes a comparison between education inAydın today and that in old ages.
