Abstract (EN)

Forestry sector is also influenced by economic arguments like other sectors, in addition to being a business model influenced by external environmental conditions. For this reason, it is important to investigate the effects of microeconomic and macroeconomic factors that affect the supply and demand of forest products in order to increase the yield and the profit margin in the forestry sector which has a long operating period. In this study, the effects of macroeconomic factors such as gold, oil, US dollar rate, producer prices index, consumer price index, industrial production index, real interest rate and previous product prices on the beech, yellow pine and larch timber auction prices were investigated. In the study, 103061 auctioned sales data carried out in the field of study in the Amasya Regional Directorate of Forestry in 2009-2017 were analyzed. Correlation and regression analyzes were used in addition to descriptive statistics. As a result of this study, macroeconomic factors which are effective in the price of scotch pine, black pine and beech logs of various classes and length were determined and price prediction models were established depending on macroeconomic factors.
