Abstract (EN)
In this study, in order to improve the chemical and physical properties of the biodiesel blends, biodiesel fuel obtained from waste vegetable oils and diesel fuel were prepared mixed in certain proportions and respectively 100 ppm and 60 ppm manganese standard solutions were added to B25 and B65 fuel types. These fuels are B100 (%100 biodiesel), B25 (25% biodiesel and 75% diesel), B65 (65% biodiesel and 35% diesel), KB25 (25% biodiesel, 75% diesel and Mn(NO3)2 additive), KB65 (65% biodiesel, 35% diesel and Mn(NO3)2 contribution). In the physical and chemical analysis of the prepared experimental fuels, the addition of manganese additives to the fuels decreased the density, viscosity and flash point, and increased the cetane index, freezing point and heating value somewhat. In combustion and emission tests, it was compared graphically by testing different average effective pressure (0 BMEP, 2 BMEP, 4 BMEP and 6 BMEP) parameters in a diesel research engine operating at a constant 1500 rpm, based on D100 fuel instead of B100 fuel. When the experimental data are examined; the highest value of cylinder gas pressure, pressure increase rate, average gas pressure and net heat release in KB25 fuel at 6 BMEP parameters and cumulative heat release in DY fuel. When the emission values are examined, HC and O2 emissions at 4 BMEP and 6 BMEP parameters have less value than DY fuel in all fuel types. The fuel type closest to DY fuel with CO2 emission values is KB65 fuel at 2 BMEP and 6 BMEP parameters, and the lowest value in CO and NOx emissions is B25 fuel. As a result, it has been seen that biodiesel and manganese standard solution mixtures can be used as an alternative fuel by adding certain proportions to diesel fuel.
