Abstract (EN)
One of the biggest problems of cattle breeding in Turkey is calf diarrhea. Especially E.coli diarrhea causes serious economic losses. Cryptosporidium, Rotavirus, Coronavirus, Cl. Perfringens increases the cost of treatment and even leads to death of calves in the late cases. In this study, we tried to determine the relationship between etiology and postnatal mortality in 100 neonatal calves with diarrhea in Manisa region (Kula, Salihli, Gördes, Köprübaşı and Demirci). 100 calves with neonatal diarrhea in the Manisa region (Kula, Salihli, Gördes, Köprübaşı and Demirci) were studied by immunochromatographic ready rapid test kit. The calves included in the study were 1-30 days old, 85 were holstein, 13 were simental, and 2 were mantofon. 55 of these calves are male and 45 are female. In 12 of 100 calves, no enteropathogenesis was observed. Of the remaining 88 calves, 58 had only one enteropathogen and 30 had more than one enteropathogen. 58 calves with only one enteropathogen; E.coli K99 in 26, Cryptosporidium in 23, Rotavirus in 2, Coronavirus in 3, Cl. Perfringens were detected. 28 calves with two enteropathogenic; E.coli + Cryptosporidium in 1, Cryptosporidium + Cl. Perfringens in 4, Cryptosporidium + Rotavirus in 3, Coronavirus + Rotavirus in 4, Coronavirus + Cryptosporidium in 2, Rotavirus + Cl. Perfinges in 2, Coronavirus + E.coli in 2, Rotavirus + E.coli in 2, E.coli + Cl. Perfinges in 8 detected. 3 enteropathogenic detected 2 calves in 1 of E.coli + Cryptosporidium Cl. Perfringens and Coronavirus + Rotavirus + Cryptosporidium were found in the other. Keywords: E.Coli, Cryptosporidium, Rotavirus, Coronavirus, Cl. Perfringens, Immunochromatographic.
