Abstract (EN)

The aim of the study is outline the Hinduism from the perspective of The Law of Manu which is one of Hindu holy scriptures. The text is precisely composed to regulate the life of individual in this world. Additionally the cast system, which is from the distinctive applications of Hinduism, is also handled in detail. In the introduction part of the study, general information is given about Hinduism, its holy scriptures, The Law of Manu and importance of the text. In the first chapter the information about the subjects such as god, creation, sacrifice, woman, permission-prohibition, crimes and restorations, four stages of life and etc. is presented in the way it takes places in Manusmriti. Second chapter is allocated to the cast system because of its place and importance in the religion and the text. At the end the general evaluation of the text and Hinduism is given.
