Abstract (EN)
Importance of railway transportation systems are increasing day by day in public transport systems and railway transportation systems are preferred because it is fast, safe and environmental friendly. The railway transportation systems are designed to adequate faster, comfortable and safe transportation in areas where human density is high. The possibility of fault in the industrial systems are getting minimizing with the development of technology. When the system gets a fault, getting an action is not enough to save the system and may also lead to serious losses. Functional safety equipments provide the systems works properly even a part of a system gets fault or to be safe situation. Marmaray project is opened to service in public transport systems has been a significant shareholder. High concentration of people is likely to live in rail tunnel system in the event of a fire, the fire safety systems will be engaged should be a higher security level. Providing a high level of security of life and property losses can not be seen a disaster is inevitable Lots of functional safety system studies had been done except fire safety system. So that fire safety system studies have a priority. In this study, in Uskudar station of Marmaray, that may occur in case of a fire disaster, smoke evacuation systems and people to ensure a safe exit out of the station established fire safety systems including fire scenario dependent examined and reliability analysis was performed according to the IEC 61508 standard. First part of this study, related researches about functional safety, general and technical information about Marmaray Project is given. In the second part, functional safety examined in general terms. Functional safety system is studied with fault tree method. For fault rate calculations fuzzy logic calculations method is explained. In the third part, fire detection system in Marmaray, smoke control extract fans and fire scenario and operation of the system is examined. In the fourt part, in case of fire in Marmaray Uskudar Station, fire safety system with fire scenario is examined as per IEC61508. Fire escape staircases are the most important areas in case of fire. All electrical rooms and control system areas are protected with FM200 Gaseous Fire Fighting System in Marmaray. This rooms has a priority for the operating system to work without a fault. In case of fire inside tunnel, evacuation of the passengers are too difficult. Also inside the stations high density of passenger evacuation is difficult. Fire safety system is examined with fault tree method and closed position of fire dampers fault values is calculated with fuzzy logic methods. As a result, Marmaray fire safety system analysis is examined as per standarts. During this study attention is taken for the importance of fire safety systems with functional safety.
