Abstract (EN)

The purpose of current study is to analyse by researchers developed and adapted to the scale and test development is congruent with the adaptation process which were used to post graduate theses published between the years 2010-2018 in the field of mathematics education in Turkey and The Council of Higher Education National Thesis Data Base. The document review included in qualitative research was used in the study. The pattern of the study was formed by case study. The universe of the research consists of graduate theses that can be accessed in the field of mathematics education using scale and test data collection tools developed and adapted by researchers published in The Council of Higher Education's Theses Database and published between 2010 and 2018. In the study, no sampling method was used. As a means of data collection, Thesis Evaluation Form that was prepared by Tavşancıl et al.(2010), was customized and used for this research. Requency and percentage calculations were made on whether the criteria in the Thesis Evaluation Form were met or not, and comments were made on the extent to which the criteria were met. It was ascertained that development processes are reported in nearly half of the scales and tests developed by the researchers in the studies at the master and doctorate level thesis. It was ascertained that most of the scales development by the research lack of information about writing essay and content analysis; it was determined that the information about the steps of examining the same or similar tools was not reported in the tests developed by the researchers. It was also ascertained that most of the scales adapted by the researcher are lack of adaptation processes and there is not enough information about the linguistic equivalence studies at master and doctoral levels. In some of the studies, it is seen that there is no information about the development ve adaptation process of the scales and tests developed ve adapted by the researchers. It was ascertained that analysed theses were identified to be the confusing the concepts of scale, survey and test and depending on this the usage of imcompetible reliability and validity determination methods for the measurement instruments. It was reported that the naming and statistical calculations which are not suitable for the structure of the scales and tests used in the gruduate thesis. In addition, Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of reliability evidence and validity evidence were limited with expert opinion in most of the scales developed and adapted by researchers.
