Abstract (EN)

The Turkish Adaptation of The McClosky and Mueller Job Satisfaction Scale: A Reliability And Validity Study The aim of the study, it is a examines a valid and reliable tool, developed by McClosky in Canada in 1974 and redefined by McClosky and Mueller in 1990,''McClosky and Mueller Job Satisfaction Scale'' Turkish form for our country nurses. This study is a methodological study. This work was conducted in three hospitals, between June and August 2017. Sampled, were taken 324 nurses, hospitals have been working for at least 1 year.In addition to the test-retest 32 nurses were included in the sample."Socio-demographic", "Occupational and Working Environment Related Form" and "McClosky and Muellar Job Satisfaction Scale" used as data collection tool. This scale is a measure of 31 items and likert type. After the language and content validity studies, psychometric evaluation was performed. The scale content validity index was .93. Cronbach alpha coefficient was found; for the all scale .81 ;for subdimensions between .45 and .70. Test-retest analysis was performed for time-invariant to evaluate at scale and subdimensions. There was no difference between the two applications (p>.05). Item-total score reliability coefficients r: between .28 and .49. There is a significant relationship between them positive direction strong and statistically at the level of (p<.001). Confirmatory factor analysis was conducted for construct validity for Turkish form. All the items of the road coeffients are between .36 and .64 for MMSS. The results of the validity and reliability study of "McClosky and Mueller Job Satisfaction Scale"; this scale can be used as a one-dimensional scale for Turkish nurses, it is a valid and reliable tool in one-dimension scale. İt appears that new work is needed to use it as a sub-dimensional scale.
