Abstract (EN)

In this study, considering the effect of media on eating disorders, we presupposed some effect of media on developing eating disorders. Firstly, by comparing chosen magazines (women?s/men?s magazines) we asked the question: ?Do the women magazines have more articles and advertisements that recommend to lose weight than men magazines??. Than, we tried to investige their interior process by interviewing the board of chosen magazines who are the gate keepers and thereby we tried to find an answer to this question: ?Considering that women magazines promote thinness, can we claim that the editorial board of these magazines are contributing to selective processes of formation of this type of content regarding the efficiency of culture industry??
