Spatial big data clustering

In recent years widespread use of GPS devices and the smart phones resulted in the generation of big amounts of spatial data.As the traditional data analysis methods can not cope with such big data problems, alternative solutions are being researched. So called Big Data Technologies help us analyze the big data in a distributed and high performance fashion. In this thesis use of Big Data Technologies for analyzing spatial data is investigated and for clustering millions of points open soırce Big Data Technologies Apache Hadoop and Apache Mahout are employed. The servers required for the Distributed Big Data analysis system to realize parallel analysis are created using open source OpenStack Cloud Computing software.
