Abstract (EN)

In this study, the color values of different coloured polyester and viscose fibers in which the components of the mixture of mélange slivers are aimed to be predicted before production.Viscose and polyester fibers were obtained from Kıvanç Textile business in five different colors (black, white, yellow, red and blue). These colored fibers were mixed in different proportions different colour blends such as two, three and four. By mixing colored fibers in Microdust and Trash Analyses with Rotor Attachment (SDL, MDTA 3) equipment 1044 piece of mélange colored slivers were produced in 5 gram. Color values of produced mélange colored slivers were measured in Minolta CM 3600 D spectrophotometer.Stearns-Noechel model is used in tristimulus color matching algorithm for prediction of colors of fibers. A new algorithm has been developed to calculate the M coefficient in this model. Totally 31pieces of M coefficient were calculated between 400 and 700nm (10nm intervals) for each mixture with this algorithm. The average color difference between measured and calculated color values was found as ?E = 0.98 CIELab unit.As a result, the colours of the fibers in the mélange blend could be predicted with the newly developed algorithm.Key words : Mélange colour, Viscose, Polyester, Colour Measuring, Stearns ?
