Abstract (EN)
Currently, coronary artery diseases are the most important cause of mortality in all age groups in our country and in the world. Due to the increase in the frequency of coronary artery disease, there is an increase in aorta coronary artery bypass surgery. Objective: To examine the demographic characteristics, risk factors, preoperative - peroperative findings and early postoperative follow-up results of cases who underwent aortic coronary bypass in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery of Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine between January 2010 and January 2020, and the relationship of these results with morbidity and mortality. Method: In this study, 482 patients who underwent aortic coronary bypass surgery between January 2010 and January 2020 in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery of Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine were evaluated with preoperative, peroperative and early postoperative follow-up data. Anesthesia - surgery information, intensive care follow-up forms, discharge epicrisis epicrisis were examined from the patients' files and the data obtained were evaluated. Following the discharge of the cases, early and late mortality follow-ups were performed. Results: 70.5% of the 482 patients were male and 29.5% were female. 40.9% of those included in the study were smokers. 27.8% (n = 134) had a family history. In addition, the average number of anastomosis was found to be 3.08. LIMA use was 47.9% . The mean time to stay on the pump in the operation was 113 ± 35 minutes, and the cross-clamp time was 65±22 minutes. The most common postoperative complications were arrhythmia (11.8% ), followed by renal complications (9.3% ). In our study, early mortality was 9.1% and overall mortality was 26.7% . Conclusion: Taking precautions by evaluating risk factors, increasing the use of arterial grafts and performing intensive care follow-up more carefully show that mortality and morbidity rates can be decreased in aorto coronary artery bypass surgeries.
