Abstract (EN)
IV ABSTRACT After the issue of the Mining Law with code 3213 in 1985, the marble industry of Turkey has accomplished pronounced advances. Many new marble quarries have been opened since 1985, but big number of them were found uneconomic and closed causing important amount of economic lost for their owners. In nearly all of the new quarries there is no well based feasibility studies including geological, economical and mining planning. In this study, it is tried to estabilish a format to examine the feasibility a new marble prospecting area and to prepare a flow chart with steps of that format a further operation should be halted, if the prospect area is determined to be uneconomic.
