Abstract (EN)

Every year, tons of waste marble dust arise in marble quarries and marble processing plants. Evaluation of these wastes is important for the prevention of environmental pollution. One of the sectors which marble dust is available, is concrete sector. From past to present researchs on the marbledust availability of a substitute for fine aggregate or cement, strength and durability are still ongoing. this study aims is to determine the physical and mechanical variations which from occuring as a result of carbonation in concrete that produced by substituting marble dust waste at different rates. During the study period, crushed stone aggregate, CEM I 45,5 R cement, water, super plasticizer, marble dust and silica fume were used. 5 %, 10 %, 15 % marble dust (MD), 10 % silica fume (SF) 5 % MS + 10 % SF 10 % MD + 10 % SF 15 % MD + 10 % SF admixtures (without additives) to C30 class concrete with a value of eight types of the same slump are produced. The rate of contribution of each one of the 3 dimensions of 100x100x400 mm prismatic, six dimensions of 100x100x100 mm cube sample was prepared. Prismatic concrete were applied in water curing for 28 days. After 28 days the beam samples were extracted from curing. During 56 days the beams samples were incubated in the carbonation tank. On samples taken from the tank, the flexural strength contucted and depth of carbonation measured. Concrete samples were the dimensions 100x100x100 mm. Capillary water absorption and ultrasonic pulse velocity were made on them. On the three samples were performed compressive strength, on the other three samples were performed abrasion strenght. On the concrete which not applied carbonation, were performed capillary water absorption, ultrasonic pulse velocity, compressive strength and abrasion strenght tests. Other samples were compared with samples exposed to carbonation. As a result, when the depth of carbonation in concrete samples which with different proportions MD, SF, and MD + SF increases, the speed of pulse velocity was increased; capillarity coefficient was decreased; abrasion strenght was decrease and compressive strenght was increased.
