Abstract (EN)
The improvement and use of inadequate soils have become a necessity for various reasons in the world and in our country. At the same time, the damages suffered by nature and living beings caused by the wastes generated as a result of industrial development have been witnessed for many years. This study was conducted in order to use the marble powder and fly ash that are industrial wastes, in ground improvement. Soma fly ash and Iscehisar marble powder were used in the study. Sieve analysis, standard proctor test and uniaxial pressure test were performed on the samples prepared at different additive rates. In the light of the data obtained, a material which is 30 cm in height and contains 15% marble powder and 15% fly ash was laid on a 16m2 area. The changes in the material laid were examined at 7, 14, 28 day periods and an increase in strength, albeit slow, was observed.
