Abstract (EN)
The purpose of the study was to investigate clinically and immunologically the effects and differences of periodontal destruction and treatment of the good (n=11) and poor (n=11) metabolic controlled diabetic patients and 1 1 patients with periodontitis. As a result of the biometric comparision of the values of the patients before and after the treatment, any difference between the diabetic and non-diabetic groups as regard to their clinic status, serum Ig and C values haven't been found. However, it is concluded that poor metabolic control of diabetes mellitus may be a risk factor for the severity of the periodontal disease.
