Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of aerobic and anaerobic exercises in metabolic syndrome induced rats fed by fructose-containing diet on betatrophin and cartonectin levels secreted from adipose tissue. In this study, a total of 28 male Wistar Albino rats were used. The rats were divided into 4 groups with 7 animals in each group. Aerobic and anaerobic exercises were applied to the rats in the exercise group with the Treadmill exercise device 3 times a week for 6 weeks. At the end of the exercise, blood samples were taken into the tubes containing aprotinin from all animals for necessary analyses between 09: 00-10: 00 in the morning by decapitation. After the blood samples were centrifuged at 3500 rpm for 10 minutes, the obtained serum samples were kept at minus 80 degrees Celsius until the analyses. In serum samples, betatrophin (ANGPTL-8) and cartonectin (CTRP-3) were measured by ELISA method. In addition, total cholesterol, glucose, triglyceride, HDL, LDL, VLDL and uric acid levels in serum samples were studied at Fırat University Hospital Central Laboratory. As a result, it can be said that both aerobic and anaerobic exercise types applied to rats with metabolic syndrome have positive effects on metabolic syndrome components and since anaerobic exercises are more effective in terms of body weight, impaired fasting glucose, blood lipid profile, and betatrophin and cartonectin levels than aerobic exercises, anaerobic exercises could be recommended for individuals with metabolic syndrome.
