Abstract (EN)

Recently, metasurface has been proposed as a promising method to modulate the phase, amplitude, polarization of the light at the subwavelength scale. Comparing to the conventional optical devices which manipulate light via the accumulation effect along the curved optical path, the two-dimensional metasurface composed of engineered nanostructured antennas array could realize the manipulation along flat medium surface. On the other hand, all dielectric metasurface schemes pave the way towards employing ultrathin metasurfaces elements to replace traditional bulky optical elements with much lower power loss than plasmonic counterparts and less fabrication complexity. Contrary to usual approach for metasurfaces design consisting of nanopillars with varying diameters, nano hole based metasurfaces is proposed in this section. Nano hole metasurfaces shows high focusing efficiency above 70% in visible spectrum. Moreover, to demonstrate its superiority, performances of nana hole and nano pillar metasurfaces are compared and it is showed that nano hole metasurfaces have better performances. Adjustable focal length studies are available with traditional optical materials. In the second part of this thesis, Moiré lenses are redesigned via metasurfaces. Different focal point can be created by rotating one of two metasurfaces on its axis which have reverse phase with respect to each other. Besides, multifunctional focal system is proposed in this section. Single and multiple focal plane can be formed by using the proposed multifunctional focal system. Solar cells work more efficiently with separation of incoming light into different wavelengths and absorption each wavelength by suitable photo-voltaic materials. In this thesis, it is proposed a metasurface-based design for separating the incident light into wavelengths. In this design, it is demonstrated to separate the light by bending at different angles with a metasurface and then to focus the beams which have different wavelengths, on suitable photo-voltaic materials by using the lens which is based on metasurface. The types of rays that the light does not travel along a path in the nature have been carried out in various methods. These types of beams are produced by a metasurface based design. Designed metasurfaces with their specific phase distributions provides the initial phase of light and the light is moved to the desired orbit. Due to its characteristic behavior, designed metasurfaces produces these type beam for different wavelength. In the sixth part of the thesis, Head up Display design are designed and investigated. Unlike traditional elements, a system with waveguide structure that takes up less space and is more efficient is designed. The structure designed with waveguide and grating structures is shown.
