United Nations convention on contracts for the international sale of goods (Vienna convention-1980) and Turkish sale law

ABSTRACTAYDIN, İbrahim: United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (Vienna Convention-1980) and Turkish Sale Law, Master Thesis, Ankara, 2007.Vienna Sales Convention was approved for the adoption of uniform rules which govern contracts for the international sale of goods and take into account the different social, economic and legal systems, would contribute to the removal of legal barriers in international trade and promote the development of international trade by the parties. This convention not only includes rules of conflict law but also main rules about international contracts of goods sale. Therefore It has common aplication on international goods sale. Turkey has not approved Vienna Convention yet. But, because of the its common practicability, sometimes Turkish civil courts will have to be apply the Convention by the way of rules of conflict law.
