Abstract (EN)

In this study, National Literature Period was dealt around "human" theme and dwelled upon the contributions of period novels to Turkish Education. The research is in the form of scanning model. The compositions which were taken as a basis of the study were investigated one by one within the frame of determined constraints, and judgments which were reached during the study were put forward in places. In these works, it was seen that human was dealt with mature and powerful stance on the one hand, on the other hand was dealt with their weaknesses and lacks. In the handling of human who is a lively panorama of the period, "political preferences, personal prejudices, social values, human tendencies, perceptions in the climate of feeling and thinking, experiences and concerns felt against happenings" seem to be effective. Novels of the period were also examined in terms of values education and basic language skills at the same time. It is possible to say that the works included in the investigation would contribute to Turkish Education in the matters of the recognition and comprehension of values, and the development of language skills.
