Research on training of values through 100 basic works in Turkish education which are suggested by National Educational Ministery in 2005

In this study, how transfer of values should be is mentioned. In the first part of the study a teorical literature is formed about the definition of value, it?s functions, it?s classifications and instruction. The place of values in educational programs, teaching values in Turkish Education, the definition of article and it?s features, reading books and their features are also explained. Besides, connected with possible problems, the aim of the study, it?s importonce, limitations, conjectures and definitions are stated. ?Decriptive field work?method is used in this study, ?100 Basic Works? that are suggested by National Educational ministery constitute general points and impertially chosen 58 books among those works constitute examples. Values, explained in those books, are taken from related books and they are diverted into computer by preparing a card index on. After classification of obtained data in terms of it?s qualifications, it?s analized in terms of it?s quantities by using SPSS 11.5 program. Consequently, it is seen that, as a value, love comes first in 100 basic work series. After love, respective sensitivity, benevolence, respect, responsibility take place. ndependence is not found in 100 Basic Works. On the other hand, to give importance for being healty, peace, freedom and scientific are the values that are mentioned to give take place at last in the works.
