Abstract (EN)

The utopias in the architectural discourse and the literary discourses from the sci-fi literature that are inspired by the utopias are the basic elements of this study which the starting point is to analyze how two different realms outside of the boundaries of architecture- literature and science fiction-interrelate with architecture and how the knowledge in these fields contributes to each other. In this context the similarities and the differences between Archigram?s cities of future from the architectural discourse and Philip Reeve?s cities in the science fiction novels from the literary discourse are discussed and by this way the similarities appearing in two different discourses are examined. As a conclusion this study focuses on discussing the relationship between architectural discourse and science fiction and showing the potential of transforming the obtained information to academic information.
