Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to analyze the data collected from an investigation in regards to a mobile crane accident. This event occurred on September, 21, 2011 at BOTAŞ Petroleum Pipeline Corporation. Within this study, research has been done to define possible causes of this mobile crane accident using FTA analysis and a fish bone diagram (cause and effect analysis) methods in risk analysis. An attempt has been made to emphasize the implemantation of corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. The hazards and risks have been evaluated by using the L type matrix method with the aim to reduce the levels of risk to an acceptable level and have been determined by the precaution controls following an accident. It has been shown that incidents invariably result from a complicated sequence of factors at the end of this investigation.
