Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research was to find out the more suitable materials for adjustable shelves made by MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) and particle board which are under load for a long time. For this reason particle board and MDF which are generally used for cupboard type furniture production were selected as an experimental materials. For each size and materials 7 diferent shelves prepared an an experimental samples shelves were subjected to the long time. Constant loads and their buckling and also residual buckling were measured using vernie Calipers. At the and of experiment the shelves processed with wood veneer and beech wood showed more buckling resistance, but unprocessed samples exhibited less buckling resistance. Key Words : Adjustable Shelves, Particle board, MDF, Veneer, Buckling
