Abstract (EN)

Due to economic and environmental issues micro-grids come to give a reasonable solution. Micro-grids should provide a sufficient amount of power with high quality to cover load requirements in island mode of operation. In grid-connected mode, micro-grids should be operated as economically as possible while abundant energy should be captured and stored efficiently. Power quality is an important factor as it strongly affects the properties and characteristics of the micro-grid. It brings forward a paramount part of determination of stability of output the overall micro-grid. In this paper both grid connected and islanded modes for micro-grid operation have been considered. The overall system model consists of the utility grid and the micro-grid elements such as photovoltaic, wind turbine, diesel engine, fuel cell, micro-turbine, and battery storage system. Intelligent fuzzy logic control and high performance dq vector control are designed to efficiently control the micro-grid both in grid-connected and islanded modes of operation.
