Abstract (EN)

In this research, the development of 'form', 'deformation' and 'rhythm' has been analyzed from the beginning of art history to the present day. While reviewing the historical process of deformity, its contribution to the modern art is examined with several examples. Deformation in art was fully recognized in 20th century. As a reflection of psychological state of the era, the artists were introverted, which resulted in the reflection of their inner states in artworks. The artists have pictured the objects by adding new meaning and expression to them, rather than portraying them as they are. The concepts that are constructed on the essentials of the rhythm are analyzed through the examples. Lastly, the patterns of deformation and rhythm in artist Azize Seçil Güç's paintings are analyzed/examined.
