Abstract (EN)
In this study, it has been questioned how effective the moral panics produced by the media in the formation of positive or negative general attitudes or generalized beliefs towards immigrants and the possibility of the similarity between the hyperreality theory and moral panics. In the study, the news on the digital platforms of the print media that deal with "migrants/refugees/asylum seekers" were handled within the framework of moral panic theory and associated with hyperreality theory. The method of the study was determined as "Case Study" and "Critical Discourse Analysis".
