The research carried outin 2002-2003 growing season with commercial maize hybrid varieties, P.31G98,Rx.9292 and SELE. The experimental design was split plot. There were statisticallydifferences between maize varieties in point of days to tasseling, cob diameter, coblength, height of first cob, number of kernels per cob, grain weight per cob and grainyiled. There was significantly effect of different rate of mixture on grain yield. Thegrain yield was less both in F2 generation and in the different rate of mixture than F1.the grain yield were 1246 kg/da, 806 kg/da, 1153 kg/da, 1083 kg/da, 1039 kg/da forF1, F2 generation and % 75 F1-% 25 F2 , % 50 F1-% 50 F2, % 25 F1- % 75 F2respectively.The result showed that to obtaining highest grain yield hybrid varieties mustbeen used for maize.Key words; Maize, Grain Yield, F1, F2, Mixture, Mixture RateII
