Abstract (EN)

Water quality is an important criteria for coastal and open sea ecosystems. Especially in the coastal waters, quantitative determination of the water quality and observation of these areas have a great impotance in terms of the coastal ecosystem and coastal areas used for economic and commercial activities. Water quality is an important criteria for coastal and open sea ecosystems. Especially in the coastal waters, quantitative determination of the water quality and observation of these areas have a great impotance in terms of the coastal ecosystem and coastal areas used for economic and commercial activities. The purpose of this study is; comparison of classical terrestrial methods with remote sensing method in water quality analysis, cheaper and faster solutions for water quality analysis. Thus, control schemes built on areas with high natural values will be less labor intensive and healthier. As a result, a high correlation was obtained between laboratory data obtained by terrestrial methods and data obtained by using Remote Sensing technology in Muğla province sea waters.
