Conversion of the financial tables prepared by accounting system general application communique in accordance with the BOBIFRS and KÜMİ FRS draft

With the general communiqué on the implementation of the accounting system that came into force in 1992, a certain standard was established in terms of the accounting system in Turkey. The Uniform Chart of Accounts, which started to be implemented in 1994, provided a common language for financial statement users. With the formation of international accounting and financial reporting standards, differences have occurred in terms of the accounting system between countries. While businesses over a certain scale apply international accounting and financial reporting standards, with the development of technology, cross-border trade has increased and businesses of different sizes have started to play a role in international trade life. Therefore, financial reporting standards for Large and Medium-sized Enterprises were published in 2017. On the other hand, the draft financial reporting standards for Small and Micro Enterprises was published in 2019 and is expected to be implemented in the near future. In this study, the differences between the Financial Reporting Standards chart of accounts and the Uniform Chart of Accounts were compared and examined in terms of tax legislation. On the other hand, the conversion of financial statements prepared in accordance with the provisions of the General Communiqué on Accounting System Implementation according to BOBI FRS and KÜMİ FRS Draft is exemplified.
