Abstract (EN)

Electromagnetic waves get into our lives more and more each day. Large technologic development on communication sector makes wireless communication systems faster and skilful. Natural outcome of the increasing bandwidth raises electromagnetic power density in the environment. Examining electromagnetic waves that can be harmful with Regular measurements become a necessity. In this study, measuring and long-term tracking of pollution radiated from the high frequency electromagnetic wave sources in Mus (Turkey) city centre and Mus Alparslan University campus is made and results are examined. Changes in the electromagnetic pollution are examined in short and long time intervals. The most intensive usage times are detected with hourly measurements. Measurements made in different days of a week are identified changes in the electromagnetic pollution day by day. Electromagnetic pollution is investigated over a year with measurements made in different months. Electromagnetic fields in the discrete areas classified based on frequency as a result of spectrum analysis. According to the thesis study, even if measured values do not exceed international limits, some of the obtained measurements can be considered risky in respect of literature. Recommendations that can decrease electromagnetic pollution in the sensitive regions are presented and analysed.
