Abstract (EN)
All living creatures need clean and sufficient water to survive and quench their thirst. Clean water resources on earth are decreasing and being under great threat by pollutants every passing day. Water quality; demonstrates the quality of water source or mass using physical, chemical and biological parameters. The water quality index is form a single and easily understandable number which is representing the quality classes using many data groups obtained from a given parameter. The water quality index is a newly applied issue in Turkey and many water quality indexes are available in wholo world. In this study, it was aimed to determine and evaluate the quality class according to the water quality index of Musaözü Dam Pond. As a result; temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, turbidity, fecal coliform, BOD, nitrate and phosphate were analyzed and according to the NSF-WQI, the quality class of the Musaözü Dam Pond was observed to be between "medium and good water quality"
