Abstract (EN)
This study aims to determine the mediating role of psychological well-being in the relationship between excessive valuing of happiness and psychological flourishing. The variables used in this study are concepts increasingly studied in the field of psychology known as "positive psychology." Accordingly, the study aims to identify the effects of "psychological flexibility" and "excessive valuing of happiness," which are believed to influence participants' psychological well-being, in order to determine which variables should be considered when designing intervention programs to promote the well-being of society. The study plans to provide scientific support for sustaining the happiness of society through empirical research. The research was conducted using quantitative research methods and SPSS and AMOS. As a result of the analysis, a weak negative relationship was found between psychological flexibility and excessive valuing of happiness, and a significant positive relationship was found between psychological flexibility and psychological well-being. There was a significant positive relationship between psychological well-being and overvaluing happiness. As a result of the analysis, there was no significant positive relationship between age and psychological flexibility, and no significant positive relationship between overvaluing happiness and age. On the other hand, no significant relationship was found between age and psychological well-being. It was found that the psychological well-being level differs according to education level. Also, It was found that overvaluing happiness and psychological well-being did not differ according to income level. However, psychological flexibility increases in the same direction with income level.
