Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to find out the contribution of museum study to the education of visual arts courses in elementary schools.This research is consist of the experimental activities that were applied to two student groups who are still educated in Bolu-Merkez Milli Egemenlik Elementary School. The study was carried on with in question two groups which consist of 25 elementary school students each which are proved to be at the same level at first, in 2008-2009 Education year. In this research, pretest-posttest search model was used and the research was applied to control and experimental groups.In order to determine whether the difference between the experimental and control group students is statistically significant after doing the museum study; the visual arts education was given to the experimental group with the help of the museum study and different activities, on the other hand to the control group students in traditional style.?Paired t-test? was used in the statistical analysis of data collected and the normality of the data is checked with ?Kolmogorov - Smirnov (K-S) Test? by the help of the program SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science) v16.0.The results indicated that the success of the students in the experimental group in which museum study and the techniques apart from traditional education system was employed, is significantly higher than those in the control group. and according to the gained experiences and the results of the datas, some suggestions are given at the end of the research.
