Abstract (EN)

This study focuses on the views of the baglama instructors of the Higher Education Institutes on the general situation of individual instrument education (baglama) aims to make a contribution to the related field. Qualitative data in the study were obtained by scanning sources, whereas quantitative data were obtained from the questionnaires that were answered by the teaching staff. The findings that were obtained from the evaluation of the data compiled from the questionnaires using descriptive statistics, were discussed according to the purpose of the study, interpreted and explained by tables and graphs. The results of the study indicated that the programs used in the institutions were different from each other, six-item teaching program was rarey used and the curriculum was insufficient for a healthy execution of the programs. It was determined that teaching staff used different implementation of basic subjects such as recources used, repertoire and measurement-evolution methods. Teching staff working at different institutions did not communicate with each other and execute studies together. Recommendations that would contribute to the related field were made in according to the results of the study. Key Words: Music Education Program, Individual Instrument Education, Baglama Education
