Abstract (EN)

In this study various the extracts obtained from P.eurycarpa and certain vitamins on the growth time of M.tuberculosis have been analysed.The lipids of P.eurycarpa have been extracted with a soxhlet device and the composition of the fatty acids in the extracted lipid substance was analysed with gas chromatography ? mass spectrometry techniques.The lipids and the water soluble extracts obtained from the nuts and its shells of P.eurycarpa, the vitamins A, D, E and K and also the fatty acids that were found in these lipids determined by gas chromatography ? mass spectrometry techniques were added to Löwenstein Jensen and Middle Brook Agar media.We observed that the average growth time of the 40 strains in the LJ media in the presence of the nut shell soluble water extracts was 9.8 days, in the presence of the nut extracts 10.4 days, and in the presence of the combination of the nut and shell extracts 9.8 days. The average growth time of the 40 strains in the LJ media without any of these additives was 15.9 days. The same values have been detected in MBA medium. We found that all of water soluble extracts accelerated the growth of the mycobacteria in a satistically significant manner in both media.The extracts of P.eurycarpa shortened the growth time of M. tuberculosis at least by a third. It has been concluded that, if these extracts will add to the media used for the cultivation of M. tuberculosis will accelarate the growth of these bacteria.
